Unlike all other 767 versions Delta has, there isn't a lavatory set near the over-wing exits (because they are near the 2nd set of doors).

*Note: This configuration is used inclusive on SEA-PVG, ATL-LOS. It also frequently works SEA-ATL to provide rotation. These aircraft do cover flights to Europe All 36J seats will be sold because it has a crew rest module installed. Also, the Y seats are the older ones like the 777 with the older IFE system (only 767-300ER type with that, all others are the newer seats/system).
**All retired 6/30/2020 due to COVID-related fleet simplifications

What DL is believed to do is put all flights with 26J as the 76Z Version 2 configuration and then change it to 76Z Version 1 closer to departure as needed. If you select 20-21CDE when it is 76Z Version 2 and it changes to 76Z Version 1, it should seat you in 13-14CDE considering that 20-21CDE doesn't exist on the configuration it changed to. All other seats are numbered the same regardless of Version 1 or 2, although there may be minor differences such as row 20 being an exit row on Version 1.

JFK-ACC is not over 12 hours either way (the return is blocked at 11:45) and has been flown with the 'regular' 763ERs.

I'm not saying this is the reason for the reconfigured 76Ts on this route, but don't underestimate ACC...fares/yields to Africa are high, much better than most routes to Europe. JFK-ACC may not be full up front, but it is quite heavy in the back, where even discount Y fares can be more lucrative than many others in the network...

Thanks for the correction. I guess if the 76T is the 'usual' equipment on this route, maybe that's playing a role in sticking with it.

Thanks for clarification.

On a side note, does anyone know why flight #26 (jfk - acc)turned around 3 hours into its flight and returned to JFK yesterday?

Will any fixed routes emerge before the whole fleet is finished?

after 10 days of pretty much what looked like no flying, N1609 is back in action. Its flying ATL - FCO on Sunday, Nov 20. Congrats to those on that flight, you'll be lapping it up in luxury on the new config.

If the swap occurs, great....if not, you got exactly what you paid for and should have expected at purchase.
Check JFK-BCN starting in early January - seems they're now selling the new configuration.

I'm on #95 BCN-JFK in mid-January and just got an e-mail about a schedule change (really just a seat change) - checked it online and saw the configuration had changed to the new lie-flat setup. Hopefully it stays that way!

wow, thats awesome!! Sure enough, it shows the flat bed 763. However, looking at Feb 1, it goes back to the 2-2-2 config.

That is really neat! Up to now, it seems that every swap has occurred about 2 days in advance so ^ to Delta. That will be a very enjoyable flight....especially if when you booked it was 2-2-2. Quite the nice change of equipment/seats!

If you are traveling alone, I would select a seat in an odd-numbered row A or D. Those seats are against the windows while the even rows are against the aisle and have a table between you and the window making it more difficult to look out as well as having your blanket sometimes go into the aisle and get stepped on by another psgr going to the restroom or FA walking around.

If you are traveling with someone, I would select the BC seats so you actually will be together. Otherwise, if someone likes the window to be closest to that person you would actually want to not select the same row number. You would want to select 1A and 2B for example since the rows are misaligned.

it seems that once a week they rotate through sea and jfk and back. Since KIX and PEK are 4x weekly, they make their way eastward to JFK. I mean, you really can't have a 763 on sea to slc now, could you? I suppose it could go sea to atl but it seems to go the way of jfk

Looks like the following have been loaded with the 1-2-1 BE 763ER seatmap for the Jan-late March (end of the winter season schedule) 2012 timeframe on some or all days of their operation (note that most of these flights do not operate daily in the winter)

SEA-KIX
SEA-PEK
JFK-ACC
JFK-BRU
JFK-IST
JFK-BCN (January so far only)
JFK-ATH (on-and-off days)

The day DL puts an upgraded 763 on the SLC-HNL route (or ANY 763 route to Hawaii) is the day I switch from CO and AA for my Hawaii flights.
