*Note: This configuration is used inclusive on SEA-PVG, ATL-LOS. It also frequently works SEA-ATL to provide rotation. These aircraft do cover flights to Europe All 36J seats will be sold because it has a crew rest module installed. Also, the Y seats are the older ones like the 777 with the older IFE system (only 767-300ER type with that, all others are the newer seats/system).
**All retired 6/30/2020 due to COVID-related fleet simplifications

What DL is believed to do is put all flights with 26J as the 76Z Version 2 configuration and then change it to 76Z Version 1 closer to departure as needed. If you select 20-21CDE when it is 76Z Version 2 and it changes to 76Z Version 1, it should seat you in 13-14CDE considering that 20-21CDE doesn't exist on the configuration it changed to. All other seats are numbered the same regardless of Version 1 or 2, although there may be minor differences such as row 20 being an exit row on Version 1.

Comfort plus bulkhead seat on 767-300?

I have a question about JFK-LIS, 767-300 flight 272, with both PS and C+. Is row 30 a bulkhead row? Does it have more leg room and is there any floor storage (I think not.) I checked seatguru but the maps are not updated.

If DL needs more 76E's to "stick around" for a while longer, the "L" versions would be the ones to have their interiors upgraded (adding the PS group).
Deltas' only active "Z2" 76E (B767-300ER) (N394DL) headed to BHM on Tuesday as DL flight 9936. BHM does not currently have any wide body service, so, does anyone have any ideas as to why it might be going there?

It's there for storage (unsure for how long). Quite a few WBs were stored there during the pandemic.

Does Delta have any plans to update any of the 76L planes with new/refreshed seats in first class?

1602 en route to CAN for mods
1705 to start its ferry to CAN on 12/3
Expect some exits (1702/1703) at that time.

76K

Flying in Delta One on a 76K from SEA to JFK right now…this plane is tired. Hard product way too old and D1 service is meh. I would avoid 76K again.

The only 76K that has flown a revenue flight as of the time of this post, N178DZ, has not flown SEA-JFK today. Based on the time of your post, it looks like you were on N188DN, which has not yet been refreshed.

jfk-pho route?

If I'm flying this winter in first from JFK-PHX, what sort of product should I expect? Appreciate this thread but difficult to keep track of as an infrequent flyer of the plane.

edit: fixed "PHO" to "PHX"

Do you mean PHX? This is not a D1 marketed route. If you are on a 767 in First Class, you will get D1 lie-flat seating, but the service will be domestic First Class which means boxed cold meals and no blankets/pillows. If you are not in First Class, you can look at the seat map to tell if the equipment has been refurbished. A 2x2x2 Comfort+ section is a refurbed 767 with a Premium Select cabin that is being sold as Comfort+ on domestic routes (because there are no domestic Premium Select fares).

Sorry, yes, PHX. The seat map shows a 2-3-2 comfort + section. Does that mean the First Class hard product will be old? I am not concerned at all with service, only the seat, really. Didn't want it to be ancient. Thanks.

Yes, 2-3-2 in Comfort+ will be a non-refurbed aircraft.

Suppose that’s why it wasn’t such a bad deal — still the best product on that route I imagine. Wonder if any refurbished ones are plying it.

Since 6-18-2021, N178DZ (currently the only 76K ship in service) has done quite a few legs...95% being domestic routes......generally from DL's hubs, and usually trans cons. Random swapped in and non trans con routes have been: ATL-MCO and ATL-DEN. A few "scattered" international legs have been: ATL-SJU, ATL-SCL, JFK-BOG, ATL-CUN, and ATL-EZE. As more (and will) come on board - more permanent routes will have these 76K frames being used. N172DZ and N173DZ have completed their conversion to 76K's and will be the next 2 to be placed into service (any time now). N174DZ, N175DZ, and N1602 are currently in their conversion process (at CAN). I can see a pattern here, as the N###DZ aircraft will continue to be the next group converted (and are also DL's newest "Z1"s). All these frames have the GE engines on them, I'm not sure if DL is only converting GE 76E aircraft or will some PW 76E aircraft get converted as well. Time will tell as eventually DL's 76Es replacement aircraft type(s) will be known, but how soon will be anyone's guess (A330-800NEOs, B797s, A321-200ULRs....)...one would hope that the twin isle 76E's will be replaced with another twin isle aircraft (which eliminates the A321-200ULR's).

174 and 181 are both headed to ICN and then presumably CAN on Thursday:
https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N174DN
https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N181DN

Based on the registrations, my educated guess is that 174 will be converted from 76L to 76Z & 181 is going strictly for maintenance and not mods. I could be wrong about both. 1704 (N174DZ) should be the ship returning from CAN early next week and it'll be in the 76K configuration.
