Unlike all other 767 versions Delta has, there isn't a lavatory set near the over-wing exits (because they are near the 2nd set of doors).
**All retired 9/30/2020 due to COVID-related fleet simplifications

N1608
N1609
N1610D
N1611B
N1612T
N1613B
*Note: This configuration is used inclusive on SEA-PVG, ATL-LOS. It also frequently works SEA-ATL to provide rotation. These aircraft do cover flights to Europe All 36J seats will be sold because it has a crew rest module installed. Also, the Y seats are the older ones like the 777 with the older IFE system (only 767-300ER type with that, all others are the newer seats/system).
**All retired 6/30/2020 due to COVID-related fleet simplifications

What DL is believed to do is put all flights with 26J as the 76Z Version 2 configuration and then change it to 76Z Version 1 closer to departure as needed. If you select 20-21CDE when it is 76Z Version 2 and it changes to 76Z Version 1, it should seat you in 13-14CDE considering that 20-21CDE doesn't exist on the configuration it changed to. All other seats are numbered the same regardless of Version 1 or 2, although there may be minor differences such as row 20 being an exit row on Version 1.

By Feb, DL should probably have at least 7 763's flying with the new lie-flats. With 4 of these tied up on KIX, PEK and ACC/ABV, not sure if the other 3 will get a steady diet of one or two routes, or will rotate. They can't get these mods done quick enough!

Hmmm...well maybe they will put the 767-400ER back on that route (ATL-EZE) in Feb and Delta.com has just not updated yet for February...keeping my fingers crossed!

Where's ClipperDelta? He knows everything there is to know about Delta schedules next year

No love for CDG?
SEA/CDG (soon to be operatted by DL) or SLC/CDG are long flights... one would hope they would get good AC with lie flat...

People will constantly be asking the same questions. Eventually the whole fleet will be upgraded in due time and new more modern jets in the mix with new terminals to boot.

Just takes time.

Granted but we are trying to make informed decisions now about which routes to chose. For example, I have another run to ATH coming up and I will do everything possible to avoid the old 763.

A DL 767 was reported in CBR earlier today on Twitter by @A380Production. I asked for a tail number (or what type of 767) but haven't gotten a response. Anyone have a clue what one might have been doing there?

Ok then.

On that note how many 767-300ER's are left to be modded? I take it mods on other aircraft are still in the works as well.

The 76Ts are almost done, however, hopefully the Panasonic Eco 9i monitors can get FAA approval before the mods for the remainder of the 763ER fleet begins.

The latest buzzword on airplanes. IFE. They are always cramming more stuff in the planes. Satellites, IFE, you name it.

When we take a flight today, we expect: Satellite, IFE and those upgraded seats. :-)

At least we know this thread will end when all the mods are in finally. :-)

Panasonic is an excellent choice for IFE. I remember that Swiss Air plane which allowed gambling and the IFE system used got rushed FAA approval and the plane crashed.

Panasonic has always been excellent so its a very good choice by Delta.

Delta has been maintaining the fleets extremely well with great EQ. Can't blame them for the slow rollouts, it just takes time as those jets are constantly in use so its hard to get schedules to upgrade them I bet.

The future is going to be brighter.

Plan accordingly to your own taste. I depart this thread.

There are really only two siginifcant manufacturers for widebody IFE systems: Panasonic and Thales. A third supplier, Rockwell Collins, exited the widebody IFE market several years ago (and their systems weren't very good anyway).

Maybe some sort of charter related to Pres. Obama's visit there?
