*Note: This version has 13-14CDE as preferred seats, not C+. This configuration does not have doors near the engines (like the 764 does) and does have 2 over-wing exits (like the 76L/76T). There are lavatories near the over-wing exits (20-21CDE do not exist).

1521 N394DL…reactivated Aug 3 2021. Not expected to receive ViaSat IFC. will retire by end of 2024 as a 76Zv2.
*Note: This version has doors near the engines (like the 764) and only has one over-wing exit. There are lavatories near the 2nd set of doors (13-14CDE do not exist). Unlike all other 767 versions Delta has, there isn't a lavatory set near the over-wing exits (because they are near the 2nd set of doors).

*Note: This configuration is used inclusive on SEA-PVG, ATL-LOS. It also frequently works SEA-ATL to provide rotation. These aircraft do cover flights to Europe All 36J seats will be sold because it has a crew rest module installed. Also, the Y seats are the older ones like the 777 with the older IFE system (only 767-300ER type with that, all others are the newer seats/system).
**All retired 6/30/2020 due to COVID-related fleet simplifications

What DL is believed to do is put all flights with 26J as the 76Z Version 2 configuration and then change it to 76Z Version 1 closer to departure as needed. If you select 20-21CDE when it is 76Z Version 2 and it changes to 76Z Version 1, it should seat you in 13-14CDE considering that 20-21CDE doesn't exist on the configuration it changed to. All other seats are numbered the same regardless of Version 1 or 2, although there may be minor differences such as row 20 being an exit row on Version 1.

I'm on this same aircraft again and I'll be damned if I can't remember which seats I had last time. Are 13A+B too close to the toilet? SIN-NRT + NRT-PDX

Any update on its retirement, as it's been flying all this month so far!

The second DL B763ER to be retired, N1501P, will be ferried from SEA>SBD for part-out and scrap tomorrow, Dec 1st. The first one retired was N173DN, which for some unknown reason was sent to the desert back in 2010, was repainted in the current livery in 2011, and remained in the desert! It never even flew after it was repainted! I've never read any explanation of what happened with this aircraft. Photo of it in 2016 below!

Looks like a 76Z V2 to me as there is only 1 OW exit. These have standard Y seat (not sure the exact model) and newer IFE screens.

Do all DL 767s have new IFE screens now?

No, the domestic 767s and 764s still have old screens in Y. I also believe that one of the ER configurations (76T?) has old screens in Y as well.

Ok thanks
I was aware that the 764s still had the old seats, but I am disappointed that some 763ERs still have old IFE.
And as for the 763 non ER, I thought they were all withdrawn from the fleet

IIRC, there are still two -300s in domestic F config soldiering on. Look to ATL-SLC for a classic 1980s experience augmented by little AVOD screens and wifi. A 767 with 2x3x2 seating beat the snot out of a DC-10 at 2x5x2.

I flew on N140LL last night. Yep, classic bird. I happened to get upgraded to 1st class. I forgot just how cramped those 1st class seats are. I was more than happy to be in a slightly wider seat for that 4 hour flight last night, but oh man is that a different experience. If you are in a window seat, and the seats in front of you are reclined you have to do your best shimmy job to get out.

The non-ER 763s should be leaving the fleet any day now, but they have been saying that for 2 years now so I’ll believe it when I see it. As far as I know, the ERs with the old IFE screens, those are limited to the 76T which I believe was the first 763 flat bed configuration refurbished. Luckily there are only 7 of them and they are limited to SEA-Asia flights due to them being the only 763s that have a crew rest onboard.

Hopefully those will get parked once the 339s take over SEA-Asia!

I doubt they will be parked any time soon. They are some of the youngest 763s that DL has and if I had to guess, they will just be moved to other 763 routes. They also are still 36J so some routes will see up gauges in the number of available D1 seats if this happens.
