Fare basis codes

Is there a way to look up fare basis codes? I want to be able to see what the rules are that go with them. Without that, they just seem like a bunch of letters to me.

CWSI.net is a start.

There are some generalizations one can make from fare codes, like a T fare USA-Europe typically being non-refundable and having a $250 change fee, but there can be multiple rules using the same fare bucket. You really need to look up the specifics by fare rule, country of origin, and city pair. Click on the hyperlink 'View change and cancellation policies' from the Trip summary page, then 'View full fare rules.'

If you want to see the actual fare rules, you will probably need a subscription to KVS or ExpertFlyer.

You can now get fare rules from ITA, too, in my experience. I'm not sure if you can tell it exactly which fare basis to price out so that you can get at those fare rules, but the details section does give a link to the fare rules for the fare basis it's priced.

You don't need to pay anybody anything.

You can find it at this page on Travelocity.

I'm well aware that you don't need to pay anybody. But for ease of use, and clear presentation of the data, both KVS and EF have proven their value time and again.
