I am flying MSP-NRT-BKK in December and with the sked change the connect time is now only 45 minutes. Does this even meet the minimum connect time in NRT?
I would rather not switch to an extra connection in DTW or West Coast but I don't want to miss the NRT-BKK flight.

Since there is only one DL flight to BKK they are very good at holding the onward flights from NRT for late inbound flights with connecting passengers since most of these flights are overnighting at the destination for the return to NRT next morning.

Landing at NRT on DL 621 from MSP. Then flying to MNL on DL 173. Problem: I only have 70 minutes b/w flights! Are the gates going to be close together or what? I mean, even if we get there on time (HUGE if!), is 70 minutes enough time to even get to the gates b/w flights?
Who out there knows NRT and its configuration well?

With the efficiency of NRT 70 minutes will get you security clearance, six rounds of Sake or beer at SC, onto MNL flight without breaking a sweat. I have even managed a shower in addition to my personal refueling if I am arriving from JFK or DTW in transit to MNL.
Now if you were to ask me about whether 70 minutes is enough time to get you off the plane, PH Immigration, bag pickup, custom and then onto a MNL taxi at DL173's arrival time I would say iffy. The NRT showers is a must for me when my final destination is MNL.

Seems.. according to the schedules.... upon looking up dummy bookings.. that it reverts back to a B747-400 sometime prior to or on March 26th,2012...
Sadly it looks like a permanent change now.. B777 for good at MSP to Tokyo
