Mine is a 10-digit number that starts with 256. I joined in either late 2005 or early 2006.

01 for me.

Even my American Airlines number has no letters in it which is semi rare.

Cheers

Mine starts with a '4.' There's a good chance that the account is carried over from an old Pan Am account my parents had set up for me.

My number starts with 23 and was registered sometime in the mid-90's. My Dad has a 400 number from his Pan Am days and I think my sister-in-law has a 6xx number based on her NW number.

Mine starts with 01... but my first DL flight was delayed because we diverted to dust some cotton fields in Louisiana.

My DL number dates from around '87-'88 (around the time I got so cheesed off with the post-RC merger NW that I decided I'd rather take a connection to travel from DTW than a nonstop on NW - but then relocation to Tokyo in '93 and consequent travel on the NRT-DTW nonstop changed my relative valuation of NW versus DL miles), and begins 201. I believe my NW number originally was a RC number, and began 071 (I can still recite it).

My partner had a NW account, and the DL number is the NW number with a leading 0 and the trailing 5 changed to a 4.

I believe this is still the technology used for DL's online award flight booking engine.

it's really cool if one has a 40xxx account. I have an account carried over from NW starting with a 6 ending with a 7. I'm Asian based, and back in the days NW asian members had 3 extra numbers in addition to the length of the usual membership numbers here in the US.

Mine starts with a 1007, in an account that dates to the mid-80s.

Never held major significance to me until I sent in a complaint about something recently and the response letter made mention of my three decades as a loyal customer.

Did you send the complaints by smoke signals?

I had a 1 once upon a time which disappeared when my 4 number took it over in 91 or so.
