0.72 Mbps is "excellent"?!

It has been anywhere from 0.21 to 0.4 Mbps in the past six months so yes.

Yes, I guess for an airplane, it's decent. But to me, it's not worth it to pay $10+ for a cell phone-like connection.

well, think of it this way... without Gogo, you and I would not be having this conversation and I would not be amusing myself with TuneIn Radio and FT.

Lol, true. Although DL's adding Wifi seems like a bad excuse for being slow on the domestic AVOD installation...

Interesting, since most airlines (namely DL and CO/UA) have huge plans for fleetwide AVOD...

Maybe you're right...although I think it's here to stay, at least on the international birds without Wifi. I always enjoy AVOD, though.

Any plane can get the new streaming video Gogo system - international or otherwise, actually.

Interesting, because Delta claims that WiFi isn't available overseas.... Eh, we'll see.

Wi-Fi is a world-wide standard. It just has to be implemented in the aircraft for streaming video. Overseas, it works the same as in the U.S.

There is GoGo over the ocean? I didn't realize that, since Delta claims it isn't available when you fly over the Pacific to Hawaii as well. Excuses, excuses...
I'd be afraid that steaming video would be a little jittery, as YouTube sometimes is.

Uh, if you mean Internet, no. Gogo's Internet service is a terrestrial-based service available in the U.S.

We were talking about Wi-Fi for streaming in-flight entertainment.

There is however Lufthansa FlyNet (see my review here if interested).
