Combined 2 Skymiles???

Can i use two different skymiles accounts to pay for my ticket???? one is from my dad and the other is myself???:confused:

Yes.

Caveat -- if only one of you has status (eg DM where you can refund and exchange without penalty), that benefit will be lost for that ticket.

No, you cannot. The miles for a ticket have to come from one account. You would have to transfer miles from one account or the other.

Distinction without a difference. When you call to book your ticket, they will transfer the miles from one account to the another. If the OP's question was whether you can do it ON LINE, no, you cannot. But it all can be done with one phone call.

You can buy or transfer miles between accounts online. See http://www.delta.com/skymiles/buy_transfer/index.jsp. There are some fairly large fees involved, so it is usually not worth it unless you are close to an award level. As far as doing it with a phone call, you should face the same fees. If you got an agent to transfer miles for free, then I'd say you were pretty lucky.

No, there is a major difference. Drawing miles out of two accounts to pay for a ticket implies no difference in cost or procedure compared to drawing miles out of one account to pay for a ticket. But that's not at all the case. Miles can't simply be drawn from two accounts, they need to be transferred and then drawn fron a single account. Transferring miles costs a significant amount of money - perhaps even more than the miles are worth to begin with.
