for comparison I’m being offered $359 for LA-RDU next week.

Thanks for the reference, I didn't see much TATL or TPAC routes offers so wasn't sure what the average is.

From what I read, the upgraded segment will book into Z class and earn the mileage credit based on the new fare right? I'm planning to credit to VS or AF/KL so.

Clearly they think that most of the seats will sell in the next 60 days, which is not an unreasonable assumption.

(This was in response to the SEA-JFK offer for $860-something up a little way; sorry, I took two seconds to navigate and properly editing but wasn't successful.)

For those with Amex Platinum, does buying the upgrade get 5x points return?

Mine did when I last purchased an FCM (believe that was last November/December)

SEA-ATL ~6 weeks out, currently 24 unassigned seats up front on a 764 ... my son and I are using AmEx companion cert, cleared into C+ at booking, no FCM offer; Mrs767 is on a separate ticket (paid C+), FCM offer is $239/22k miles

Booked a RT ticket in Premium Select for MSP-ICN-SIN last week for travel on 6/6/19 and returning 6/13/19. I'm Silver and received buy-up offers to D1 for the MSP-ICN and ICN-MSP segments for $449 each way. I didn't bite for the outbound but I did buy it for the return.

What was the original purchase price? $900 for a RT upgrade MSP-ICN seems good, but depends on what you are starting at.

Yes, but the MQMs earned are 150% for a Z fare or for any G A P Premium Select fare. You might get a little extra class of service bonus for redeemable miles, but know that your MQMs won't change.

How much was your original MSP-HND-MSP roundtrip in PS? Just so the forum knows how much the total price to D1 is, including your original approximate fare amount...thank you

This is hilarious because I just bought the same flight for today (T fare), with 1 F seat left currently, and the FCM offer currently is....drumroll please...

$239 or 22,300 miles...EXACTLY the same as yours despite it having only 1 seat left versus 24! DL is getting desperate to sell at any price

Don't care about delta MQM actually, the segment MSP-HND is 100% on G and 200% on Z when crediting to VS for redeemable miles, so that was my deciding factor. The receipt on delta.com still shows G tho, while the booking summary page shows Z. Should I be concerned?

The YYZ-TYO roundtrip price was about US$1100 in W and G class.

I was helping a Gold Medallion friend last night with a schedule change, he moved to PVG-LAX nonstop in peak summertime

After his ticket was reissued due to the schedule change, the app showed him a buy up to PS for $175 or the D1 to $599.

This is from a cheap L class coach fare that was about $300 each way (base fare) in main cabin.

Given its on an A350 and he's never flown D1 Suites before, he took the D1 offer.
