Both PNR had the offer of $174 F upgrade from PVR-SEA. I purchased the upgrade for one of the PNR and went to check the 2nd one, and the price had DROPPED to $159. Anybody experienced this before?
The trip is very far out in December.

So our family trip of 4 was broken up into 2 PNR because each PNR has a medallion member with a companion.

I just bought 2 RT first class tickets (Z bucket) for my wife and me DCA-LGA-TPA on a Wednesday in June and return via LGA 3 days later on Saturday for $482.00 each. I thought this was a pretty good deal.

Sounds like the typical price. I fly MCO-DCA often and if the cheap MC fares are available, I can typically get FC for $231 OW which is normally only about $120 more than the MC fare. Typically my FCM offers are more than this just for one segment.

I've been seeing so many random buy up offers over the years on Delta, both with and without medallion status. I setup this quick google form to collect buyup prices and also setup a viz on tableau public to track it. I've put in the handful of future flights I have, would love to see what kind of buyup prices everyone else is seeing:

Can an upgrade cost ever be worth it?
We have a IND- SEA flight in a few weeks. The prices were seriously low when I bought in March, $260 per person for main cabin (not basic) and the cruise line gave us an additional $50 credit per person. So $210 round trip which I thought was excellent.
I have been watching the upgrade cost. Now the first class cost has decreased to $139 each way or 13,000 miles while the Comfort Plus is $69 or 6,000 miles each way.
Would this be considered a good deal? Since we are a group of 4 that always makes things more expensive, or maybe I will upgrade and leave husband and boys in the back...

The cheapest roundtrip main cabin fares I can find on this route are $306.60 X fares, while cheapest Z fares are $714.60 roundtrip. So if you look at this as the "nominal" price difference between coach and F, anything less than about $200 each way might be considered a "good deal" (or least it would likely be cheaper than the upfare cost at the time of purchase). I doubt the price will go lower than that. I had a SEA-DTW flight last year and the cheapest upgrade offer was $213.
