Snagged a FCM offer of $110 per person for SEA-ANC about 5 days out. Amazing the price for C+ was $111 so the FCM to F was a $1 cheaper! I think it’s definitely worth it for the 3 hour trek.

I've been offered to UG from SLC to RDU for $184 or use 17,800 miles. I'm currently in bulkhead aisle in C+, and I think I have one of the best seats right now. $184 seems kind of steep for a 3.5-4 hr flight. I have plenty of miles to spend, but 17K miles isn't chump change. What do you all think?

you should also consider how important SDC flexibility and ~800 extra MQMs would be

Good call! I also had a recent conversation with a DM agent who said that I could only SDC on an upgraded ticket (via FCM with miles) if the original fare class was available. For example, if my original ticket was K class and I did upgraded using miles to Z, then K would have to be available for the flight that I would want to SDC on. Using money, on the other hand, would be different. Was this agent completely clueless?

When is the flight and how is FC currently looking?

Flight isn't until end of May, and FC looks pretty open -- 1/5 occupied in FC.

yes
once the ticket is reissued, it’s as if you paid for FC at initial booking ... you’re subject to the same SDC rules as any paid FC ticket — an available seat in the front cabin (other than D1), and no change from a connection to a nonstop

$418 for EWR to MSP with only 1 seat sold. Definitely an algorithm making these prices....

And I've seen posted here that some agents allow a switch to D1. The current wording on Delta's web site doesn't explicitly prohibit it.

What is availability in F buckets? Is it standalone, or part of an itin with other flights (numerous instances of odd pricing on domestic segments when paired with international flights on same itin).

It's part of an itinerary with other flights, but I took the FCM offer on other segments.
