I would absolutely jump on that. The SEA-JFK red eyes I usually see are on the 739 which is my least favorite plane on which do do an all-nighter. I can never sleep on that flight.

I had to get really creative to make it appear “in policy” in Concur; after it ticketed, I called the company travel support desk to release the ticket to DL so I could avoid the $50 ticket takeover charge when upfaring

Right on the borderline of what I would consider paying. I would probably pay it if upgrade odds looked low.

$649 for international second-class (aka premium economy or, as Delta calls it, premium-select), is definitely worth it.

how did you get that? on the app or web? I'm flying DTW-NGO in about 2 weeks and keep waiting for something like this. All I get ATL-DTW. I don't know if I would pay that or not.
