If you mean medallion upgrades, currently no, but the policy is changing later this year.

Sad, isn't it. And C+ supposed to compete with Premium Economy on TATL. You know, enhanced meal and drink options with menus that cycle three times per month.

No it's not. PE vs. C+ on TATL is clearly distinguished on the website and is sold as a separate fare class (P/A/G), just like on TPAC routes.

I'd love to see a fare differential breakdown between DL C+ and partners' PE.

"Clearly distinguished on the website" is a quibble.

I mean paid upgrades, we are in the FCM thread. I want to know if anyone was offered a discounted upgrade to D1 on JFK-SFO and from which coach fare. Discounted would be under $300.

$89 from SLC->PHX and also $89 for the reverse. Considering buying the ticket with FC for those legs (my other 2 are on a CRJ2) was over $700 that is actually a deal. I don't get the higher fare class though correct? So not extra MQMs or SM?

Edit to add another question: do these offers typically go up in price or down? Still a month away (I rarely book more than two weeks out so this is new to me)

as long as you upfare before checking in, your ticket **should be** reissued in A inventory which will get the 50% MQM bonus

Given the lack of response, shall I assume that good deals to upgrade on JFK-SFO with cash are rare and that most people pay the fare for the class they fly unless they upgrade with miles or certificates or pay the full fare difference?

$346 was my offer for the 330 ATL-LAX in F.

Same price for non flat F seats on the same route for other flights

I don't think I've ever seen one. DL is perfectly willing to let seats on the TCON routes go empty, just like international J.

FWIW, the current cheapest A fares on this route are $578.30 one-way for non lie-flat and $685.80 for lie-flat's. The lie-flat D1 equipment (A330/777/763ER) on this route carry a $100 premium that is built-in to the fare (the extra $7.50 on top of that is the 7.5% US Excise Tax). So if you are paying less than $300 each way for coach, a $379 upgrade price would be less than the outright purchase price.

Thank you I had wondered about pricing. The coach segment cost $222.

I wrote the incorrect amount in my initial answer.
