No more free soup at DTW sky clubs:(

I went into the main skycluub earlier. Have a 3:55 flight to SFO and didn't eat much today and wanted some soup to eat before the meal in flight and saw no soup was out. Asked the attendant when the soup came out and was told the soup was no longer being offered. I enjoyed having the soup before a flight to help feed my appetitie before some flights. She said the oatmeal was still currently being served.

And the downward spiral continues. Honestly DL, how hard is it to put some decent soup out a couple of times a day?

Soup is traditionally something that people eat in winter and not in summer. I am sure it will be back in the fall/winter.

Does this mean that oatmeal will also disappear in the mornings, even if only seasonally?

There are plenty of places to buy hot soup inside the airport.

In addition, DTW SC (B/C) removed the olives last week. Utterly pathetic.

And the premium nut blend of cashews, pecans, almonds has also been replaced with some spicier "crisp" bar snack resembling cheap chex mix.

That stuff is disgusting.

Last week I was in PHL and MSP and there was no cheese to be found anywhere. (ATL had cheese in E but not in that dreadful "Club" in B.)

I have given up thinking there will be anything worth eating in the SkyClubs, just relax there with my adult beverage, and plan to eat elsewhere.

I can say that I have never planned a meal in the SC.
