You might be a Kettle with Medallion Status if...

If you have gifted status

If you don't tip at the Skyclub

If after 500K miles there are no GAs or SkyClub people that recognize you

If you look forward to the meal service in FC

If you use the call button to get the FA

If you have to stow your rollerbag sideways

If you think the wine selection is pretty good

If you "hang out" with the FAs by the galley

If you dont shut off your electronics when asked to do so

If you watch Morning Joe

If you look forward to using the AVOD system

If you ask for a second PDB

If you are in FC and stow your jacket/coat on the bin

If you think the MD-XXs are great

If you reach for your phone upon landing and make a call saying "I just landed"

If you use your cell phone and make "deals" loudly while sipping on a PBD

If you wear flip flops in FC

If you "poop" in the A/C WC

If you bring a newspaper with you to go "poop" in the A/C WC

If you have never bought a gogo pass

If you think it is cool to get 500 skypesos for flying in a middle seat

If you flatulate in the airplane and think nothing of it

If your music selection in your playa' includes Lady Gaga

If you don't know what a job well done certificate is

I always love it when in ATL you see somebody ask the GA what place they are in the upgrade list. When the board is directly over their right shoulder.....

And describes most of my seat mates.

Though I guess I am kettlish at time cause I wear Flip flops in FC. I live in MCO, not BOS!

a waste of delta's $ and a waste to the environment as they only get thrown out. Buy a nice leather travel jacket to carry your docs and travel cards.

So I can't bring fast food into FC and I can't look forward to the meal service in FC, or else I'm a Kettle? That's funny.

That would be pretty hard for me to do, since getting offered a PDB is a rare occurance on the flights I am upgraded on or pay to be in F on.

you're sitting in row 28, but begin looking for your row starting in FC.

you look from side to side trying to figure out which side of the A/C your seat letter is on.

you assume everyone else on the flight or in line has lower status...and treat them so.

Putting your feet up is actually ok... putting your barefoot feet on the wall because you wore flip-flops on an airplane is NOT OK.

Agreed. I loved ticket jackets and wish we still had them. Something classic about them.

Well, which is it? PDB or PBD? I think the irony of your typo is pretty hilarious. You're pretty much scalding anyone who isn't as "cool" as you are and you can't make your points clearly.

Also, PDB? PBD? How about just calling it a pre-flight beverage?

And calling your significant other immediately after landing is called "courtesy". When the wife says "call me when you land" and I do... well, I'm being a good husband and it takes me about 10 seconds to do. Not a big deal.

This list is funny partly because sometimes I think the same stuff in my head, and partly because it's amusing to see what judgments people make of other folks' behavior.

I miss ticket jackets but they were kind of a waste. I have a leather travel documents holder now because it's a handy place to keep boarding passes and HOOU coupons and I never forget where I put my boarding passes. Everything else is stored electronically in WorldMate.

There are several legitimate reasons to make an "I just landed" call. Calling your ride immediately after landing may also be called "summoning transportation". When my ride is coming from Decatur on a Friday night, I still beat him to the curb in ATL for pickup. I always do it really quietly though, so I don't look kettle-like.

I will also admit to a fondness for MDxx's. (I don't think actual kettles -- even Medallion Kettles -- even know what type of aircraft they're flying on.)

Or... I'm just a Medallion Kettle trying to justify myself.
