Possible to make connection with help?
I'm going to be traveling 5:45AM flight FLL-ATL to then catch an ATL-SLC flight with a 39 minute connection. Although there's a flight one hour later, I really need to do everything I can to get into SLC before noon and want to make this connection. I'm only bringing a backpack as carry-on, which I intend to wear and run with in the terminal. I've also selected the seat closest to the door to allow a quick exit. Aside from that, is there anything I can do to increase my chances of making the flight? Is it worth sending Delta a message via twitter to try to hold the plane for a few minutes when I arrive at ATL? Instant chat with Delta online? Any suggestions are welcome.

If the 5:45 flight is on-time you should be fine...

Of course, any flight can be delayed for any of a million reasons, but typically, the first flight of the day is more likely to be on time to early than other flights later in the day. DL2127 arrived at ATL early today and yesterday. Checking FlightAware, DL2127 looks like it was pretty much on time/early every day back to June 9.
