Multi-Class Ticket

Is it possible to book a multi-class ticket on Delta, either online or over the phone? I'd like to book the following itinerary:

SLC-BOS in Y
BOS-LHR in C
LHR-BOS in C
BOS-NYC in Y
NYC-SLC in Y

There are great Biz fares on the BOS-LHR route, but I can't get them out of SLC. So, I'd like to fly coach SLC-BOS and then have Biz over the Atlantic. I'd book two separate tickets, but it would be nice to have them all on one reservation in case something happens along the way and I need some sort of reroute (almost happened to me once in St. Louis where I would've missed my connection in LAX to SYD -- a little nerve-wracking). I asked the agent when I checked in at the Marine Terminal last night, but she didn't know for sure and I was in a hurry.

Rservatios could book as you wish but the cost would probably be astronimical!! Make sure you compare the one ticket itin with the cost of a two ticket itin.

You may need to book 2 separate tickets (SLC-BOS and BOS-LHR). There is a risk associated with that - in case of IROPS on the SLC-BOS portion you are not protected for the rest of the itin. Same thing on the return - if your LHR-BOS flight gets delayed and you miss your connection, you're SOL. DL may help you, but they certainly don't have to.

You'll have to book as 2 separate tickets to get the best deal. Call DL and have them link or attach (not sure what they call it) the 2 PNRs. Doesn't do anything per se, but does let the GA know you are on a DL flight for IRROPS purposes.

You should be fine.

+1

I just dealt with the same issue recently - trying to save $$$ by booking international legs in J and domestic in Y (banking on an upgrade). Doesn't work, unfortunately.

Call DL reservations and explicitly tell them you want the fare broken as SLC-BOS/BOS-LHR-BOS/BOS-SLC

Yes two flights linked should not be a problem.

I did a few positioning flights to RDU last year due to double MQM and other promo benefits flying out of RDU.

I am looking at the same thing, only JAX-ATL-BOS in Y and BOS-LHR-BOS in I, then BOS-ATL-JAX back in Y. I called and it was 1500.12 BOS-LHR-BOS in I, and when I added JAX to the mix, it was 1512.xx.

Just call and tell them you want Y for your domestic legs, and I for the TATL flight, and it should be cheaper than 2 separate tix.

YMMV.

How do I go about linking 2 separate PNRs?

You have to call Delta and ask them to do this.

And.....you should be in F for the domestic portions for that extra $10 (taxes) or so that you paid. Check and make sure that the agent didn't book you in Y because you asked for it  Your fare that you were quoted was a single JAX-LHR (not as two separate fares for domestic and international portions) fare for a Business Elite trip that includes F on domestic portions. Your situation and fare is significantly different than the OP fare. I believe that this fare is only good for MCO/JAX/TPA-LHR through BOS and is available for ticketing by the end of 12/31 unless DL extends it.
