... I am thinking of putting my partner's GM tags on just to give people something to talk about... I wish I had SM ones.

I use them on my carry on and computer briefcase, never once was asked about using special lines.

Got off NRT JFK 02/11, was given welcome and escorted through CBP immigration and custom checkpoints by DL personnel.

How true - the FT tag really is DYKWIA - I've stopped 2 guys with those on the bag in the past.

OK, I have seen "DYKWIA" over and over again in the DL forum. What does it mean? It's not listed in the FT glossary. It must be a term specific to DL, like FO (which IS in the FT glossary). I think the D stands for Diamond but can't figure out the rest!!!!

Ouch.

I have flown three flights now with the new metal DM tags and I am ready to take them off. They are noisy, as others said. Also, the one on my roll aboard has gotten bent into a shape that would allow it to be used as a scoop.
OT- a TA at EWR was amazed yesterday when I scanned the DM tag on my backpack to bring up my itinerary at a kiosk. She didn't realize you could do that.

It's an incredulous statement - DON'T you know who I AM!

A real DYKWIA isn't asking, he's telling.

Time for lessons at the next DO.

Well, whattaya know? I got my bag back from the vlaet off a CRJ flight today and it was bent in half. I was crushed. I noted some Golds and a Platinum snickering at me. I had a Mentos moment and then bent that tag right back ..... good as new, with a well travelled look... I then told the Golds to try that with their crappy plastic tags. They lowered their heads in shame. I only made them kiss my ring once time and sent them on their way to the Fairfield Inn...

Agreed and love the sound they make when walking over the SP carpet past the gate lice.

Question: if customers make DM on mostly non-flying MQM offers and very few BIS miles, are the tags or the customers called "Kettle Bells"? Just sayin'...

Great idea. I was shopping for a cover and they did not fit any I found so far.

As to the topic. I put tags on checked luggage only. Even though proven wrong by experience, I do this the hope that lost luggage might be found easier and handled with priority.
I just do not like things dangle from my carry-ons. I liken it to trinkets hanging from a rear view mirror. That said, to each his own. I do not care what is dangling from your luggage.
But I am curious who could build the longest daisy chain of luggage tags. Who will out him/herself as a hoarder? - Yes, you can call yourself a sentimentalist. lol

I don't put them on my bags. Not sure what the point is. Everyone doesn't need to know about my relationship with Delta.
