Flight DL1105 and 1104 First Class?
Hi I'm new to this site but I've been trying so hard to see what the 767-300 to Hawaii first class will be like and I was wondering if someone had been on it recently? I leave for my honeymoon June 25 at 11:40 AM and come back July 3rd at night. Anyways on the Delta site the configuration is set up with 4 rows of first class, seat guru is the same. When I go to pick my seats there are 5 rows as options so I was hoping maybe it was a little better. For a 7 hour flight it would be nice to have better than Domestic First Class seats. Anyways let me know what you experts know.
On another note my Dad is a DM and so he can designate someone a GM. Whoever he designates does that make them set for a year? |

The 767 F seats won't be anything special. You will have AVOD (but so does Y). I doubt (but don't know for sure) if service is anything special. If you really want nice seats to Hawaii, you need to go for the A330 out of ATL.

Delta is adding an extra row of first class to its domestic 767s. It will still be a standard domestic first class seat. Service is basically the domestic first class service as well.

Standard Domestic First Class seat and service. If you sat in coach on the return, there is a pair of exit row seats available even if you do not have Medallion status

Thanks everyone for the input. My dad has usually always been PM but this year he is DM so it would be through Feb 2012 from what you guys said. Well too bad, I wish they had an A330 out of SLC, it seems to be a high traffic flight. I know back in the day I flew into Maui in on DL747 for a captain retiring and he got sprayed down, it was really awesome. I wish I knew why they changed it to SLC - HNL instead of SLC - OGG, I'm pretty sure Maui is more popular. Anyways thanks for the input, it will be my fiance's first time in first class so she is really excited and I was just hoping it would be a better than average first class. I'm pretty sure Delta is behind on upgraded first and business class right?

Like I said before, you could go for the A330 out of ATL. Other premium options include CO out of IAH and AA out of DFW. If I understand correctly, both of them run aircraft with sleeper seats to HNL. I don't think HA has anything really nice (and they don't go to SLC) but you could look at them. This thread might prove useful: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hawai...thread-17.html Happy travels, and have a great honeymoon! :) |
Thanks! I think it will be awesome, we are going to Maui I don't know if I mentioned that but I just wish Delta was like AA where they equipped all of their 58 763's to international business class even when they don't all fly international routes. To be honest I'm the most excited for the upper deck business class on united's 747 ORD - LON, (trip to golf Ireland with my Dad) I did see that the pitch is a little less up top than in the main cabin but I just think being on the upper deck will be way cool and worth the less pitch. Let me know if anyone has had a bad experience or why you would want the main over up top. On the way home we are on a 767-300 with the same seats but not the big beautiful 747 :-(. I wonder why we don't get it both ways. Let me know if there are preferred rows and such on those planes if you guys know, thanks!

Update:
Just got back to SLC on the 767-300 from HNL it was a nice ride but a really old plane. This config does have the small Tvs and power in first but the horrible old overhead bins. I have a small Tumi and even if couldn't go in wheels out. Icing on the cAke was that no overhead lighs worked in first class so we are by cell phone light. We had 4 people livid they paid for first class and all they received was a bigger chair and a turkey sandwich. |
