New some expert flyertalk help

Hey all.

I've been a looking member for a long time, but finally going to post my own thread.

Last Friday, I was traveling from MSP - SGF, with a layover in ATL. My flight was delayed almost 4 hours leaving ATL due to crew not being there, waiting on flight, etc.

This is a 2 part question. Am I entitled to anything from Delta? I normally wouldnt ask for anything, but I work for a medical device company, and was traveling to help assist in a surgery. Well I didn't make it in time and missed my part of the surgery.

Who should I write to? What should I request?

Thanks in advance!

You might get some Skymiles, but I wouldn't hold my breath...

Select "Customer Care" from the drop down menu

I think ATL had a ground stop on Friday due to weather. If this is what caused crew delay they won't provide comp.

Key word to use are the fact that you were in a time critical situation...

Lesson learned is if it's really that important pad your schedule...

Hope everything else worked out OK

Don't expect much. I was offered a whopping 1K SM for a 24 hr delay only after I escalated it to a manager.

Use the online complaint method, that is the best.
