Deciphering Fare Codes
 
If anyone here on the forum knows what does Issuing Agent Delta/SS imply. And under payment information it lists IT? It says "Coupon Open" and Fare Code is T. The forum of payment is Cash. I saw this on a relatives itinerary as part of a tour group with a college. He wanted me to explain this to him and he wants to know if its eligible for miles. To me if it says Coupon Open does this mean its an award ticket? I never say Coupon Open under the Ticket Information when you select "Details".

Coupon Open just mean he didnt fly as yet and with a T fare he will earn miles. After he complete the trip coupon open will change to FLWNN.

Thanks for the information. I never saw Coupon Open before so I was not sure how to explain it to him. I though Coupons were for award travel.
