E75 vs. CR7 or CR9
Looking for a little advice tonight.
I'm headed to Vancouver in January and it looks like a ride on a E75 is in my future. I've never flown on a Delta Embraer and was wondering how they compared to the larger CRJ's. I'm looking at going BOS-MSP-YVR so it's almost 1500 miles on the E75, which seems like a bad idea if they are similar to CRJ's. BOSfish |

The Embraers have a slightly wider seat. I think they are modern, comfortable aircraft.
A cut above the CR7 or CR9, but I could stand 1500 miles on any of them. Especially up front. David |
Agreed the E75 is def. aircraft of choice out of those three. Love the F product.
Sat in Y as well. For some reason I always feel more comfortable with engines under the wings. |
Thank you DLNYC & DiverDave. Hopefully I'll be up front.

Nothing, and I mean nothing like flying a CRJ-50, CRJ-100, CRJ-200 (aka Barbie Jets). 1st class seat very comfortable. I like em. Only down side can be carry-on's. Can't remember which one of the bigger regional's that mine has a hard time fitting but it's one of them (it's big enough for my laptop and a days change of clothes), and with a laptop I really don't want to gate-check it.

E175 all the way! Grab seat 1A if you can. These aircraft are also very quiet. I have always found the service to be outstanding on E175 flights operated by Compass.

the E-jets are great, the CR9's are very nice as well. The forward lav is always a plus.
Did SLC-MKE when the route was around, and it was great. |

The E75s are excellent aircraft. Very comfortable in F (can't comment on Y).

E75 is an excellent plane and especially in F if you can grab a seat on the A side since its all to yourself.. There are extended overhead bins to fit normal carryon size bags, which would normally have to be pink tag checked on an RJ900 or 700. This plane basically is designed like a small version of a real jet instead of a flying pencil.

If it don't fit...it's checked to the final destination. Word to the wise.....
It was a real pain, especially since at least some of the bags would have fit just fine. |
E175 > CR900
I prefer 1A in either. You can get full size rollerboards in the E175 but not in the CR900. |
E-175 beats CR7 or CR9 by a long shot. The coach seats are among the widest in the system - a full inch wider than almost all the mainline aircraft. The legroom is average. Seat 1A in First Class is one of the best seats, if not the best seat, in the domestic system aside from the BE routes.
