Las Vegas LAS Delta Sky Club: The Definitive Thread

Anyone know if there is lounge access with any partner lounges in LAS for Sky Club members flying domestically on Delta?

If not, is there anything within walking distance if I have a 4 hour layover?

Programs: Now just a lowly DL PM/1MM. This industry needs some competition. It's just not enjoyable anymore.

For clubs, you are SOL, however with 4 hours you could take a cab to a casino should you be so inclined....

I think it's $40 for the CO President's Club.

That being said, just hop a cab over to MGM - five minute ride, costs maybe $10-12. I'd rather spend time there than the airport.

Traffic on the strip is notoriously terrible and unpredictable. I would head to the Hard Rock which is just blocks from the airport and has only a fraction of the traffic the strip has.

Here's a link to the lounge guide. Select an entrance criterion and the available DL and partner lounges with locations and hours are returned.

Entrance to MGM is off of Tropicana before you hit the Strip - traffic might get thick around Koval but you don't drive on the Strip. Same with picking up a cab at MGM - left turn onto Tropicana makes it very easy to get to the airport without traffic.

I take it that it's walking distance? That sounds easier than getting a cab and gambling with traffic.

So the airport isn't isolated off by itself and there are casinos nearby I take it.

By walking distance, not by the crows fly, it's about 1 3/4 mile away. The MGM back entrance is about 2 miles. Yes I said blocks, which is true, but they are big blocks.

If you're looking to go to the Hard Rock cheap too, the 108 bus runs up Swenson and then it's a short walk over to Hard Rock.

Google has it as a 43 minute walk from LAS to Hard Rock (2.2 miles), 43 minute walk LAS to MGM Grand (2.1 miles to backdoor entrance).

You would think that DL would consider a club in LAS. This is one reason I"m sorry DL stopped accepting Priority Pass. It was so much nicer. More clubs, same price.

I'm hoping something occurs when T3 opens up soon-ish, but I'm not holding my breath.

Weelll, not exactly. For the Hard Rock, google instructs pedestrians to follow the vehicular entrance and completely PASS the HR, enter at Paradise Shopping Center and then backtrack around the HR and enter from the northwest side. Silly directions here.

If you g-map the directions to the more accurate position of just north of the corner of Harmon and Paradise, it's 1.7 miles and 33 minutes. Normal directions here.
