Gogo free service requires login every 30 min?

i have been disconnected 3 times and had to log back in every time in the first 90 minutes of my flight from MSP-TUS. I have never been asked to re-login when paying for service.

Does the free one kick you every 30 minutes?

Programs: Now just a lowly DL PM/1MM. This industry needs some competition. It's just not enjoyable anymore.

Not in my case. I used it on an hour long flight and a four hour long flight on Saturday and only had to log in once at the start of service for each flight.

Sounds like either your computer or the on-plane go-go hardware was having an issue. I would send a comment to go-go.

I was on for a while yesterday and it did not kick me off, but I had to reload the page about every third try.

My guess is a lot of people are using it since it is free. Big demand, small bandwidth

No problems on DFW-ATL this Saturday.

Love the fact it's free for now... agree with others that the bandwidth might be taxed on some flights.

Does anyone know if they allocate BW per flight or as a whole within the gogo network? So my MSP-TUS flight might only have 5 users but a nearby MSP-PHX flight might have 80? But we are all going to the same Access Point?

Never really studied the gogo infrastructure.

kicked off in the middle of this post!

Gogo Online chat

i did an online chat to them, they saw no issues and thought my hardware or wireless card was the issue. I had to reboot for a new battery and it did not solve the issue.

I wonder if they have to age the mac addresses because the table is filling up to quickly?

I am using the free holiday promo and it kicks me out every 30 minutes. VERY ANNOYING.

I have heard the expression, beggars can't be choosers, but come on, this sucks!
