HOW TO: Boarding Pass on iPhone?
I know that some people have been successful using their iPhone as a boarding pass. I have both the DL app and of course the web access. I cannot find a way to display the screen item for a boarding pass. Can anyone direct me to the right place or tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

You must be flying out of an airport that supports mobile boarding passes... Not sure what the current list is, but if you are, there will be an option such as "send mobile boarding pass" instead of the usual "print boarding pass" or "checkin without printing boarding pass" on the final screen of OLCI.

If from the site, BPs are usually sent to your phone as a msg. You then click on a "link" (for lack of a better word) to display the pass.. On DL app, log in, check in under "my trips" then click that trip. At the bottom of the flight times, you'll see "display boardng passes" click that and your boarding pass will be shown, provided that you're leaving from an airport that allows non paper boarding pass. Does this work if there are two passengers on the same PNR. Can two passengers traveling together use the same iphone for both boarding passes?

In regards to Online Check-In I will need to see what the rules are for the new check-in application when it comes to multiple passengers and eBoarding passes.
As far as the iPhone goes, there is a way to get multiple eBoarding passes on a single phone. To do this you will need to check in one passenger at a time. As soon as you attempt to check in more than one passenger at a time you will not get a mobile boarding pass. I find it helpful to lock the screen orientation...
Also, you can easily take a screenshot of the bp to retreive it faster: just hold down the home button and click the power button once. |

We have an App for that
We built an iPhone App for 1 touch check-in and retrieval of the MBP. We are working with the airlines to make it faster, but it is already way easier/faster than the airline WAP sites. You will be able to check-in to Tripit flights automatically in the version we just submitted to Apple. Pls check it out at bit.ly/5SVdRa.

you need an airport that supports that first. then they'll send you an email, you'll just open up with the barcode inside to be scanned.
i have noticed that with these mobile boarding passes, sometimes they don't show zone number, so theoretically, you could board in zone 1 if you want... |

Is a internet connection needed to simply display the BP from the DL app?

If you are using the iPhone App, it is inside the app and does not get emailed to you. If you check-in from something other than the app it gets emailed to you. The app is the easier way to go in my experience. |

Yes/No - if it is emailed to you, it opens a website to display it. Sometimes it will require a refresh. If you use the iPhone app, it loads the boarding pass when you check-in and you don't need an internet connection.
