Delta Registration No.
 

Hi there- i am wondering if someone who may have the powers could help me. I was on a flight yesterday (of several) that was impacted by the snow in MSP. I tried to look for the registration number before getting on the plane, however was covered with snow... and then when I landed in ORD finally, after 5 hours delay, it was dark and i had to literally run to the international terminals to ultimately miss my connecting flight.

Anyways, the flight number was DL5826 if anyone can help me with the registration that would be great..

The SMS agents are able to (should be able to, anyway) locate a particular flight's actual tail number / ship number. the data is purged relatively quickly, i believe - a day or so - so you better call quick and ask nicely...

i was able to trace a particular aircraft for several days using the information... catching lost & found catch... to no avail, but i did find out that the data IS available...

Here's a Department of Transportation website that contains that data. Click on departures and fill in the appropriate info:

Note that data is significantly delayed. Right now, only data from September 2010 and before is available. Also, only certain airlines report data--has to do with their size. I think most Delta Connection carriers are listed.
