I'd be more concerned about the equipment being swapped for a 767.
I would also be concerned about the equipment change. The last two times I have taken this flight on Sunday mornings, once in March and once in April, the equipment was changed to a new intl config 764 with BE seating.

Still nice but not a 777. FA and service were outstanding and it was an enjoyable flight both times.

I've also seen rather frequent equipment changes on this route. The last time I flew this route the aircraft was downgraded to the 764. I've also seen DL cut back to a 763 with only 24 seats in F. When this happens there are frequently paying pax who get bumped to the back and into a middle seat.

I pity the crew when this happens. The bumped pax's are practically levitating (myself included) and the FAs are left to deal with the mess.

I've flown the 777 to LAX and liked it, but now avoid it due to the frequent equipment changes.

Upgrade Chances

new PM (have not flown a domestic leg on anything but RJ) finally flying domestically on a plane with a FC cabin. What are chances of upgrade from CMH to ATL?

Thanks for your input.

Do you use your PMU's? Because if you only travel domestically you can use on all fares but LUT. G class would need to be available.

Also, when are you flying? I'm sure others here will post UPG availability if you give a date.

Traveling on DL 6441 CMH-ATL 8/25 then overseas using PMU on the TATL portion so do not want to use PMU domestically. Can I book lower fare for the domestic portion and then M TATL so I can use PMU?

Actually, it doesn't "cost" you anything to use the PMU on the domestic portion of an international itinerary. For example, if you're traveling CMH-ATL-CDG, you can apply one PMU to the entire trip over. Of course, you may find that V clears before G does, but it never hurts to be on both lists!

I fly CMH - ATL all the time, I get plenty of upgrades and I don't have PM status.
