No more "My SkyPesos are expiring, what should I do?" threads now. I guess we'll just have to be satisfied with "Why does it cost 500K to go to SYD in J?" and "Why didn't my upgrade clear in advance on SFO-JFK?" threads to keep us occupied.

The incompetence of Delta is amazing.
They can't get their loyalty program launched right. Their IT systems continue to be substandard. The website still touts "What's coming in Fall 2010" -- things on that list didn't get done in Fall 2010... and the "Coming in 2011" stuff has no timeline updates. http://www.delta.com/skymiles/about_...ates/index.jsp Looks like they haven't done anything related to the program since September... I mean, is anybody AWAKE over at Delta? |
This sounds like SW - RR 2.0!

While definitely not good for me, IMHO the fairest program would be a system based on ticket prices and not mileage. SKYDOLLARS.
You earn one skydollar for every dollar spent for a Delta or SkyTeam ticket. Like now you must complete the flight. There would be some conversion rate for SKYDOLLARS to real USDs with which to buy tickets. For example 25 cents per SKYDOLLAR. (Thus 4 $400 coast to coast trips would be enough for a RT low tier (ie. 400 USD) award; this is close to the current redemption system). Maybe SKYQUARTERS would be better name <grin>. The more you pay for tickets the more you earn. Three tiers of 'new' medallion statuses ( silver, gold, platinum --or how about just C,B,A) with 6400 SkyQuarters required for each level. Gold benefits and Platinum would be SkyTeam Elite. |
