When will lie-flats be installed in most/all of the TATL BE cabins?
Given the UA/CO merger and increased competition resulting therefrom, will there be any effort to accelerate the lie-flat mod schedule to be more consistent and competitive in all markets (as opposed to just LHR, or to those markets with 777LR service)? Stated another way, "Why in the world does it take this long to make these mods? (Particularly since there are only 8 777-200ER frames involved)." This goes back to my earlier question about whether the execs are frustrated that DL, as a company, is not more nimble. |

At ATL/DO- for just a few minutes, please sit down with a laptop with wifi connection- and try to book an award tickets. Please tell us about your experience.
And so would be placing a call to the Diamond Line on speaker phone for the entire room to hear. We could call and ask questions about the double MQM promo from RDU/STL/PIT/BNA. |
I have breezed through the list of questions. I have a few add on's. Hopefully these are not duplicates that I missed.
1). Will there be a Sky Club Lite. If so, what locations are being targeted and what services will be offered. (official response) 2). Is there a possibility of comp upgrades to HI from west coast locations, as CO does. Would be better if they were comped for elites from the east, but west coast would be an improvement. 3). Can we get a Priority Security line at MCO. Add TPA to that list... 4.). Will there be expansion of the Sky Club Cafe concept? If so, what locations? 5). Will Sky Clubs be moving more to the self serve model like LAX? Is there a timeline for this? 6) what is the status of AVOD rollout to former NWA metal? I like the comfort of the a320 on MCO-LAX, but would really appreciate AVOD / power outlets on those longer A320/319 flights. |
Folks, if you've got a question to ask, pls make it obvious as did Crazyhotelguy in the previous post. That would be a huge help.
From going through these thread posts over the weekend and culling out the questions, I can tell you that it was often times difficult to decide if there even was a question in some of the posts. I know that we all want to cuss and discuss these issues but it would also be helpful if we dedicated this thread to questions rather than a general discussion of the issues. There will be plenty of time for that after the upcoming DO. Thanks. |
Too much time on my hands so I am curious...
I have never met a DL exec on a flight so I was wondering, do DL execs fly mainline aircraft like us or do they use the DL equivalent of Air Force 1 (or some other charter)? And if they fly mainline, do they ever fly in.... coach? |

Bob was commuting from MSP to ATL, flying DL. I was on a flight once with Ed Bastian, but that was for the ORD-PSA inaugural.

Sky Club related but:
More of a "pre" question for Delta in regards to the meeting, but will the person responsible for the Sky Club program within Delta be present? |

and pls add: - Will DL be taking steps to ensure that SKyPriority security lines are adequately manned and run by the rules - esp PHL and LAX? Post REVISED - I forgot to put in "Skypriority" - as many have observed the lines at LAX and PHL seem to frequently either not be manned or the person manning them isn't really screening it correctly. |
An extension of Skymiles Question 31 (or an entirely new question):
Question: Is the new "Total Mileage Since Enrollment" field in the SkyMiles account (formerly tracked by NW) a pre-cursor to using lifetime RDM in calculating status / loyalty? |
I don't think that I saw this, but if it is a duplicate, I apologize ahead of time...
Will Delta be automating the process of volunteering to be bumped on potentially oversold flights (i.e. "volunteering" when checking-in with a list that the GA can see & use)? If so, will any priority be given to Medellin members? |
I'm going to add one to the list:
UA has Channel 9 (live cockpit/ATC audio feed). AF has the nose cam (you can view a live video feed of the view in front of the plane on the PTV during takeoff and landing). Does DL have plans to offer us anything similar? |
My first question complements #13 from the master list:
Are there any plans to improve the quality and variety of snacks available in the snack basket to better differentiate first class from coach? For instance, why not offer the Delta Shuttle-style "gourmet" nut mix in place of (or in addition to) the 0.42 ounce bags of peanuts? How about bringing back the Pretzel Crisps in place of the Hilton Garden Inn-branded mini pretzels? And why not cater fresh fruit with all snack basket-equipped flights (i.e., do away with the 250 and 1500 mile minimums for fruit on non-meal and meal flights, respectively). And another question for the Sky Club section: The bagels offered during breakfast hours are terrible at most locations. Can these be sourced from a real bakery? The cinnamon raisin bagels at the LGA and JFK locations, while not great, are much better than the plain ones I encounter everywhere else. And another question for the Customer Service section: Is there any chance the “snack bags” will ever reappear on Shuttle flights? (I’m not familiar with the competing US Airways product, so perhaps there’s no competitive reason to offer anything more than the current “gourmet” nut mix.) During the morning hours, why not include butter (or some shelf-stable alternative) for those of us who don’t like cream cheese and jelly with our bagels? |

IIRC, a FT'er (I think it was Mersk?) was on a flight early in the merger with Jeff Robinson and Bob Soucoup (I apologize- I think I'm spelling his name wrong), and as I recall the story one of them was seated in back. (I'm sure he'll reply soon with a clarification/correction)

I hate to sound like a broken record but most WorldClubs had cinnamon-raisin, wheat, and/or or blueberry bagels in addition to English muffins. @:-)
There may have been more, but as we slip further away from what a good club experience was like, my memory is fading as well. |
