Purchasing items through Marketplace
 

Just wondering if anyone has purchased any physical items (not giftcards) through the SM Marketplace ? Any issues, problems ?

I've got a bunch of miles that I most likely won't be using and was thinking of purchasing an HDTV through them (wish they offered Best Buy gift cards like HH).

use the gift card option- Land's End at Sears I just got a new set of Michelin's for my SUV. Sears has very competitive prices on HDTVs.

Thanks for the suggestion! Completely forgot that Lands End GC's can be used at Sears. Plus my sister-in-law works for LE so I need to check with her discount.

i bought something and got it with-in 4 days

Just thought I would throw this out there as well - you can use Land's End gift cards at K-Mart (if you have one near you) to purchase American Express gift cards (however I believe there is a small service charge).

I didnt want to start another topic on this, but...

my wife has about 30K miles, but delta website will not let her burn the miles on Olive Garden Gift Cards - any guess as to why this is?

I am SM and it does give me that option.

Hmm....Two things:

1) I think they raised prices on the gift cards. $50 cards were 6,000 miles and now they are 6,500

2) I don't see Land's End anymore.

Are others getting the same result?

Edited to add: I am an idiot. Land's End is there. Sorry. I guess it's just the price increase I am interested in.

I just logged in and checked - Olive Garden and other giftcards are still $50 for 5k miles. I can also see Land's End on the gift card list.

Also, are the other non-Amex holders seeing the price increase from 6,000 miles to 6,500 miles?

the price jumps the lower your status

I have been Gold all year. Bought other gift cards maybe two or three months ago. At that point, they were all 6,000 miles for $50. Now the price is 6,500. Others seeing the same thing, particularly non-Delta Amex holders?

GM with no Amex and the price for me is 6,500 miles.

I can confirm as FO with Amex they are still 5k. I just bought two gift cards in order to be eligible for the double miles when you redeem 10,000 promotion.

Can you elaborate on this promotion? Thanks.
