Offer Stacking
Curious and apologize in advance if this has been spoken to already--couldn't find exactly the answer I was seeking:
If a person is eligible for the "Double Your MQMs until October 16th" promo and they purchase a YBM ticket (one where they would normally get the 50% MQM bonus) what would they see for both their MQM's and regular mileage? Would it be the "Double MQM's" and "50% MQM Bonus" stacked? Depending on how you did this, it could equate to 3x MQM's. My gut tells me they are either: A. Only honoring the "Double Your MQM's" and temporarily superseding the 50% YBM bonus B. Or they are honoring both but only so that the doubling and the 50% bonus are both calculated on the base mileage. My money is on B. What do you guys think? Not to get even weirder, but how are the reward (non MQM) miles calculated for PM's? Help, I'm drowning in a morass of fine print and can't find my glasses! S. |
Anyone?

In theory you SHOULD get Double MQM only on the base and the 50% bump.
i.e. for 1000 mile flight, you would get 2500 MQM (1000 x 2 + 500) What I have found with these DL promos (even though the terms say otherwise) is that you end up getting Double MQM on the total i.e. for a 1000 mile flight you would get 3000 MQM ((1000 + 500) x 2) |
