Delta just announced the latest in customer-facing technology that will help manage travel plans including our revamped delta.com homepage, Delta Ticket Window and soon to be released iPhone application.

Will there be an Android app?

We know the appetite for both are strong...nothing to announce right now, but we hear you.

+1 I really hope they release it when its good and ready and fully functional. Take your time on this one Delta, get it right the first time.

Just tried the ticket window to play a little and it turns out that to let me looks for trips DELTA wants to collect my personnal informations including, but not limited to, profile pictures, names, user ID, LIST OF FRIENDS????

Seriously Delta? My list of friends? Why would you know who my friends are to price a ticket? :td:

No way I will use this feature nor will I recommend it to anyone. I hate those privacy violations....

EDITED to add: one can bock this application, which will prevent it to collect your information even if you are friends with people who are sharing information with it.

Please a WebOS app, too.:D

The ticket window is very problematic. First, as vgb2001 pointed out, to use it you have to accept the following:
Second of all, FB is notorious for changing things behind the scene and not notifying developers, thereby breaking code which had been working on FB pages. So, you may wake up one morning to find FB broke the ticket window, and you'll have to scramble for a couple days to fix it.

I think most Kettles would need a Vic-20 app, or if they upgraded to the big house, a Commodore 64 app. ;)

FYI - Android will have a larger market share than Iphone/Ipad/Itouch by 2012. So I wouldn't hold out too long. :)
