Anecdotally it seems we've been seeing more int'l op-ups this summer. Perhaps a combination of reduced capacity with increased passenger traffic? Return of the Phantom Upgrade program is too much to hope for.

Congratulations! I'm on tomorrow (8/4)'s DL17 LAX-SYD and am dreaming of an op-up... coach doesn't look too badly oversold, but I guess you can never be sure until you get to the gate day-of, so you've given me a glimmer of hope

Flying FRA-ATL on Jul 27 with a bunch of other guys on my work team. I was already upgraded on a SWU, but at least six or seven of my coworkers got op-ups. Two others took bumps for $1000 Delta Dollars, hotel, and an upgraded seat the next day.
