Checking for upgrade space without calling?

Hi all,

I've searched but couldn't find the right thread.

My friend who is a SE has an M ticket going TPAC. Is there a way to find out whether there's space for upgrade without calling? I know I could do it on the website back in the NW days, but can't figure out how to do it now. If it were me I could just waitlist as a plat, but silver can't waitlist for upgrades.... Any help appreciated.

A phone call may be easier than an ExpertFlyer subscription for a single inquiry.

There's no space now, so I'd have to call daily to see if any opened up. Which class would I be looking for in EF?

And with Expertflyer you can set it to search for you and email you when space in the bucket opens up.

I subscribe to EF and recently called Delta to get waitlisted on a TPAC flight because EF said Z0 for my flight. Even though EF listed Z0, I was able to upgrade my flight. I've noticed this before, are there issues between EF and Delta that cause this information to be incorrect? Thanks.

I'm an EF noob -- can I get away with the basic plan for that or do I need prem?

gleff has described an alert. This is a premium feature.

The list of supported airlines and supported award/upgrade classes should be significant to prospective users.
