Two segments for a divert and refuel?
 

Thank God for gogo inflight. The weather is bad in ATL, no one is landing or takig off right now. My sav-atl just got sent back to sav to refuel and wait out the storms. I wont get to see my fiancé, who I just asked less than a week ago, until to tomorrow probably and I'll I can think about is.... Does this count for two segments? :)

Unfortunately, no. Each segment is awarded based on ticketed itinerary. Similarly, if you made an emergency landing and then took off again (continuation - not cancellation), you'd still only get one segment. If the emergency happened and flight was canceled and rebooked mid-flight (like a recent UA flight to FRA that landed in ORD, canceled and all pax rebooked), you'd earn credit for partial flight (most likely) and rebooked flight.
