Freezing Cabins on Delta?

Anyone notice the cabins on Delta's international routes are freezing? I flew from Rio to Atlanta.. I was shivering, and so were the couple next to me. I asked the attendant to bring a blanket or turn up the heat, but of course, no change. useless.

Flying from Atlanta to Shanghai was cold but not that bad. From Tokyo to Detroit was horrible too. I did have an exit seat on this flight, and I know they are colder than other seats. But it's funny that Delta tries to hype these seats up as priority seats when they are just so cold! I understand it being cool, but I found this is the coldest airline in the sky

I fly Emirates and Lufthansa a lot, and never have experienced this.

Not unique to Delta. I've been in SQ 747 FC cabins that wade meat lockers feel tropical. I've also been in SQ 747 FC cabins that appeared to do double-duty as convection ovens.

Agreed, I am always cold on flights. I just figure it is easy for me to wear a sweater. Difficult to have people taking off their shirts if they are too hot. I always have the flight attendents asking for my coat to hang up and I politely say I will keep it.

Could not disagree more...the steady increase in cabin temperature on TATL flights has made me completely change my travel clothing.

In fact, in BE it is usually too hot to lay under the duvet/blanket that they provide.

It is seriously killing me - I would much prefer a cold cabin, and then wrap up warm....you can do something about that, unlike the heat!

To each his own.

And better cold than hot. At least the cold can pile on blankets.

Korean Air is terrible in the reverse direction. I believe they calibrate their cabins so that everyone deplanes in Seoul at a nice medium rare.

:mad:You think it is cold? You are experiencing something most of us would prefer over the ridiculous heat that makes us sweat! If the temperature is above 68 then it is TOO HOT! Please put on some clothes, t-shirt, shirt, sweater, jacket and blanket if needed. But donīt complain about the cold. On these same flights I complain about the heat...

you should try Iberia. My last flight with them JFK-MAD was like in the 90s.
