Yeah. So unfortunately, it will be very disappointed the news to hear. I can't believe it where some those people who is never been used on his website at all. Maybe I will try to keep eye on it. I will try to figure it out anything more specific new routes & any new aircraft is delivered to DL.

Thumbs down Widgetheads.net R.I.P.

One of my favorite websites has decided to shut down. It had a wealth of DL information while it was up. I'm sad to see it close.

That's a classy farewell.

I hope Justin is okay. He put a lot of heart and soul into that site. Sorry it's gone.

Anybody else read the thread title and see "rip" instead of "R.I.P."?

what was widgetheads all about?

that's a very strange way to shut down a web site. At least leave the old content up?

Justin somehow managed to do a complete detailed inventory of all planes in the DL system, what they were equipped with, ETOPS rating, livery scheme, and what planes were getting done to them upgrade or MX wise at outstations, among other things.

To sum it up, it was an incredible amount of information that he was able to put in one place.

Too bad it doesn't pull up on archive.org...

What a shame. The site was helpful knowing what is the status of a aircraft. Not to forget the information regarding of the merger of both DL and NW stations.

Sad to see it go.

Sad to see it's gone as well... but I for one, knowing how big corporations (Delta) work, don't believe the "the decision has absolutely nothing to do with any legal issues regarding Delta Air Lines." explanation...

Maybe they paid him off? He was pretty candid about it when the DL's attorneys were harassing him last fall. The current wording on widgetheads.net suggest that we don't (and probably won't) get to see the whole picture.

Sad as well to see it go, just discovered it a few months ago. Enjoyed the news feed along with the very robust fleet information.

One of my favorite websites, especially since I am sort of "into" the equipment details. Very sad to see this one go.

The only silver lining is that I downloaded the equipment list spreadsheet before he shut it down.

And I also do not believe for a minute that Delta had nothing to do with the shut down. Stupid thing for them to do, this was a very supportive site. Good for building their image and brand loyalty, especially since the site owner was such a cheerleader for Delta.

Go figure.
