Agreed. 80,000 SkyMiles is an absurd amount of miles to pay for a R/T FC ticket within the continental United States. @ DL's current SkyMile purchase rate of $0.028 per mile, this works out to $2,240?!
If they're not going to make the program equitable, then get rid of it and stop gouging people and making it hard to use.

Programs: Now just a lowly DL PM/1MM. This industry needs some competition. It's just not enjoyable anymore.

Or how about my recent frustration, the "low" FC award to Mexico, which should be I believe 60,000 miles, that recently priced out at 132,500 miles, with the obligatory ridiculous layovers.
