Ask a Delta Pilot: Result from Interesting Delta pilot post on poker forum

In a "worlds collide" kind of situation, my twin interests in aviation and poker met in this fascinating post by a Delta 767ER pilot. The demographics over there are a bit different than here and you read other posts on the board at your own risk, but I hope that you will find that discussion as interesting as I did.

Be warned, it is ridiculously long. This cockpit video of the river visual approach to DCA in a MD-88 is a highlight.

I do not appreciate the OP posting this, and I'm tempted to RBP.
I've currently on p. 34 of that thread, having started reading it earlier today because of the OP, and it appears there are 84 pages, so I'm going to have to waste a lot more time because of you.

I just started reading it... so I am way behind you, but it is a great read! One of the best pilot threads I have ever read.

Me three...Up to page 67 and need a break. Great thread.

I once was seated in F on a US 757 next to a pilot heading home (PIT to SAN). Turned out that he was much like the pilot over on 2p2 and was eager to talk. 6 hours went by in the blink of an eye talking about piloting (him) and flying (me).

I'm up to post 600, p. 40, where the OP links to this amazing first person account of a test pilot who survived the break-up of an SR-71 at 78,000 feet:

Thanks for the links, MikeLaw - great post! ^

W0X0F on the poker board is quite a good ambassador for DL.

I book marked the poker link! I'm a sucker for clear, cogent writing, and this guy's got it in spades. Very engaging reading, even the...er...'colorful' and vulgar posts.

I got a kick out of the jab at the NW pilots who overflew MSP in post 646

Distractions anyone?

I have sent him a link to this thread, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did.
