DM functionality has DEFINITELY NOT kicked in yet.

For those who imagine DM perks are being executed somewhere in the depths of the Delta IT Infrastructure, I would firmly beg to differ.

I am PM/DL RES, with DM coming up. I ended up 18th of 35 on the U/G list ATL/SAN this monday morning on an L fare...

I would guess that would never happen if I had the DM perks.

There were 3 seats avail. I probably just got beat by PM's on higher fare classes. Had the DM kicked in, my L fare would have trumped a PM on a M or below, correct?

I believe January is the hardest month for Upgrades. All the 2008 flyers still have their status, and the 2009 flyers have it too. In Feb the 2008 flyers that didn't re-qualify drop off.

Can't wait till March 1, 2010.

Not complaining about sitting in the back... It does a soul good to remember that coach was what I paid for in the first place. But I did do pretty well on the U/G percentage in 2009.

Yes - a DM on a L beats everyone but:

-Any Exec Partner
-Any elite on a full Y
-Any DM that is on a Y/B/M/H/Q/K
-Any DM on a L fare with a Delta Reserve that requested an upgrade before you did.

Yeah my Diamond year got off to a great start with me missing my first upgrade of the year. PM on M fare MCO-DTW 4 of 17 on upgrade list.....

Keep in mind, per DL's website, DM benefits do not start until 01MAR2010.

What part of "March 1" do you not understand?

I think that's why the OP said "can't wait till March 1, 2010"!

Yes, I noticed that, also...however, I fail to understand all this useless kvetching about benefits that people think they deserve when a posted date has already been established.

Possibly because at one point DL hinted they may try to launch some DM benefits prior to the official launch date?

What time on March 1st?

Is that March 1st at 0000 Zulu or 0000 Central (Atlanta) Standard Time?

No idea...don't work for DL, don't care when it is activated (doesn't really matter, although it will apply to me). But, just an FYI - ATL is EST. (Yes, I noticed the post-based smiley)

Well, obviously you are time-zone challenged. ATL is on EST not CST :D

ceieoc Jan 4, 2010 6:44 pm

I also forgot to add "seconds"

You're right. I have avoided ATL as a hub for a long time so I usually think of ATL always in the time warp of the year 1999. Instead of 0000 Zulu, as seconds matter when Diamond Medallion kicks in, would it be 0000:00.0 Zulu or 0000:00.0 EST?

Maybe we should all stay up late, visit the www.delta.com web site and keep hitting the refresh key on our computers (Key F5) to watch our account status change around midnight on March 1st. ;)

Why wait til then? I have another tab open in Firefox right now, with my profile pulled up. I have been hitting F5 every five minutes during the waking hours since DM was announced...:D

If you install the Opera browser, you can tell your computer to resend the URL request every second. You set the refresh period. I wasn't sure if Comcast, my ISP would like me testing this browser feature.

True, but these things inject some facts into the "should I get DM or not" debate that went on late last year and will probably happen again at the end of this year.
