No typo . The 9510 is in Drachmads LOL OK OK I corrected it.

Does anyone have an opinion on whether this is worthwhile or not?

OK, pardon my ignorance but those with Delta Platinum Skymiles cards don't earn MRs right? I was under the impression only the basic AMEX cards (not tied to Delta) earned MRs but wanted to verify. Thanks.

Not quite as lucrative as the last round (20K MR back on 50K MR transferred, effectively giving a 67% bonus because 30K MR = 50K DL), but this one is essentially a 43% bonus (35K MR = 50K DL) and still quite appealing.

I would like to note, however, that you might have made the same mistake in the T&Cs as with the last promo, in stating:

"The electronic certificate will be sent to qualified members by email 6-8 weeks following registration in promotion."

Aside from the grammatical error, this means that if someone registers today, even if they wait until Dec 31st to do their transfer, they'll expect to have their e-cert by Jan 4th at the latest. Maybe this was your intention, but if you actually meant to say "6-8 weeks following the conclusion of the promotion" or "6-8 weeks after your qualifying transfer", then you might want to make an update.

Buy 60,000 miles = 30,000 bonus

On a different note, I also received the 30,000 bonus miles DL Amex card offer that has been floating around. The good news is that it is supposed to expire 12/18/2011. Let's hope a better offer will come by after that time.
I got an email that says 25 k miles instantly and 20 k after $1 k spend.

When I click on link and put in my FF # the landing page shows 25 k On first purchase 15k bonus miles on $1 k spend and $100 back on any DL Purchse in first 6 months with first year free.

Come on guys tell me yes or no on this card. I just burned 100k on a J RT and with 240 K left am thinking about this .

Worth it or hold out for better deals later. You guys are the experts.

Give it up

I am not an expert, but I would not jump on a Delta offer that does not offer any MQM. Especially if the offer is less than 50K redeemable miles.

Correct, only the "Real Amex" gets you MR points - the green card, the gold card, the platinum card and the black card.

And in some cases you need to pay a fee to be on the MR program. Fee is waived for the Plat and Black cards, as far as I know.

My goal is as least 2 TATL PER year and at 100 k each I fly J so MQMS DON'T mean much to me.

I am now silver via a promo bonus , but as long as I keep finding 100 k J RT
I don't need status.

But you are right , I should make 50k my threshold .

Start Making Every Mile Count

Sorry if this has already been posted. I searched and didn't find it.

I received this in the US Mail a bit ago:

START MAKING EVERY MILE COUNT

By signing up to receive deals, promotions, and more by email, you'll be among the first to know about our best deals and other ways you can save time and money. The 1,000 bonus miles are just the beginning: you'll also get insider access to fare sales, partner offers, SkyMiles promotions, and bonus mileage-earning opportunities.

http://delta.com/signup

What's interesting is I'm positive I'm signed up for everything. Anyways -- it's targeted as I was able to sign up but my wife was not.

Better than the mileage purchase promo email I just got! Terms and conditions of the link you posted state that you have to get the email to qualify. Anyone know how to get the email (I am already "opted in" to receiving emails from DL)? Thanks!

So you don't think 50K miles (100k to another person's account minus 50K from your account) is worth $500?

Just received the same offer. Seems that it would be as good as some mileage runs I've seen others take....of course, no MQM's. What's the value of a mile vs. a MQM? Seems to be a different answer to that question, with each person you ask. Worth is relative to...........

It's worth pretty close to $500, but why go through all that effort just to break even?

He meant drachmas, the plural of drachma, which is the now defunct Greek currency that was superseded by the euro (at the rate of 340.750 drachmas to 1 euro).
