Transfer miles on upcoming flight to avoid status
 

I am at 74,000 MQMs and have an upcoming flight that would push me into platinum. I'd prefer to roll the 24,000 over and stay gold. Can I avoid getting the new MQMs by, for example, using my kids FF No. or have them booked to an affiliate airline program?

As long as you're willing to forgo elite benefits, have the miles credited to an alternate program. Trying to have them deposited to the kids' accounts could be perceived as fraud.

To an affiliate program, yes. To your kids, NO DON'T COMMITT FRAUD.
