Inflatable footrest allowed in exit row?

Will be on 744 MSP-NRT, NRT-ATL, 35BC.

Would it be possible to use a 20" inflatable seat as a footrest? Or would this serve as an obstruction and be nixed by the flight crew?

They will pop it with a safety pin.

I just use a small roll aboard for a foot rest & usually have no problem. If you get heavier turbulence they may make you move it so the FA can access their jump seat.

You might as well say, "I am 14 years old", in Spanish.

I would think you'd be fine at cruise altitude. I wouldn't try it for taxi, takeoff, and landing though.

I'ved a small roller board in exit rows (A333 and 744) as a foot rest in about two dozen flights now. I usually try to keep a low profile by covering up with a blanket.

99% of the time, I did not have an issue. One FA even commented what a great idea it was!
On my last flight (AMS-DTW), a FA didn't care for my improvised footrest, and made me put it up, so YMMV...
