Smile Delta ATL-NRT

Hi! I'm new at this so I'm not sure if this is the correct area to post my question. Please move it if I'm in the wrong place!
Anyway, we're flying coach to NRT on Friday. The last time I flew to NRT on Delta was 4 years ago, and I know that pre-merger they used a different plane.
Unfortunately I am aware there is no AVOD in coach, so I'm bringing lots of books.
My question is: will they supply pillows and blankets or do I need to bring my own? And does anyone know about meal service in coach? Is it decent or should I bring some pretty good snacks.
Thanks in advance!

The plane is an older NW 747 and not the newer 777 that DL use to use.
There is NO coach AVOD.
I would bring the snacks.
There use to be some blankets and pillows in coach (but no where enough for everyone). The plane is zeroed out in Business and about 90% filled in coach.

There will be pillows/blankets available, shouldn't have a problem getting a hold of them unless you're one of the last to board. That said, many people prefer to bring their own neck pillows etc rather than use the small airline pillow.

Food is standard airline international coach fare, 2 meals and one light snack in the middle (sandwich or something similar). Food isn't terrible, but nothing great. If you don't like airline food then bring your own snacks.

In coach, this plane is a big downgrade vs the 777 they used pre-merger. There are old fashioned projection screens in coach on this plane, so if they happen to be showing something you like AND you can see the screen, then you have an entertainment option. Most likely you should pack your books.

I'm partial to the row 35 exit row. Infinite leg room + the crew jump seats are across the way, so you can ingratiate yourself with the flight attendants, which can be important as crews for these flights tend to be pretty senior...

We do have row 35 seats on the way home. Will I be able to see the screen okay?
On the way over we are in row 51 which is also exit row. Are those okay?
Will I freeze in the exit row?

I am often chilled in the exit row on nearly all aircraft. Preparation to prevent getting cold will make your flight more enjoyable. I'd bring my own pillow and either a thin blanket or clothes to layer in.
I wish you a good flight.

Often??? I'm kind of like you but I'm ALWAYS frozen when I get the exit row especially on a TATL or TPAC flight... but then I grab that seat any time that I have to sit in coach. Take a heavy jacket and then grab a couple of extra blankets. Most of the FA's are pretty good at making sure that whoever has the exit window gets some blankets, but I always layer for those flights...
