2009 Medallion Threshold Rewards Down
2009 Medallion Threshold Rewards is down and when it comes up keeps changing. The latest is in an email reply I got yesterday. This is totally different than I was told week before last and then again last week.
We are aware that our system has had several technical issues with the cutover of the Northwest WorldPerks loyalty program that occurred on October 1. Due to this issue, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Since there will be the secondary merger process that has yet to take place, the link to claim your 2009 Medallion Threshold reward make not be available until later in the month, however, we have not been given an exact time line as to when this problem will be corrected.
I hit 125K last week and will hit 150K by the end of this month. I want to gift my wife gold before our trip in early Nov. It looks like it will not happen.

It wont happen - took them a month to gild my wife. Our trip was over and done. Worse yet, they only made her Gold until end of Feb 2010! What a waste considering it was done in September and took them a month to do it and it is only valid for a few months! Typical Delta...

Delta does not go to the presses with the new card design until January.

Bonus miles will post 6-8 weeks after award selection. You will need to provide your recipient's name and SkyMiles account number when selecting to gift Medallion status. Your recipient will receive the applicable Medallion status through February 28, 2011.

I can get there and go all the way till it says that I've already claimed my award. Which is true and I did that when I reached 150k about 2 months ago. The miles have not posted yet though and now I'm at almost 200k and still can't claim the 175k award. Seems it's not really working for some reason.

same here -- called internet support and (after having to first educate the csr about how I am allowed to gift status, ultimately had to give her the url on the web page to read) was told to try again in a week.

Sunday 10/4 I was told to wait till Monday. Monday 10/5 I was told to wait till Friday, Sunday 10/11 I was told to wait till 10/15. YMMV
