where can I find new Skymile award table?

I can not find the new skymile award table. The link on DL website only shows the mileage required for the trip between US and other places. I want to know about the intra-Asia mileage requirement. I remember it is 25K for economy and 30K for business/first. The mileage requirement for NW used to be 20K/30K. Not sure what is the new requirement.

Go to http://www.nwa.com/freqfly/direct/charts/
and I suggest save all 13 award charts NOW, before it's too late!
Either print to PDF or just save the HTML page of each.

These are no longer linked to from nwa.com, but are still there. Just with WorldPerks search-and-replaced with SkyMiles.

And, the NWA award charts are in effect. The reservations systems were merged to use the NW back end, so the NW mileage levels (in some cases, up to two times lower than DL used to have it) are now in effect for award bookings on both DL.com (still crappier though with that horrendous and buggy front end) and NW.com

Just called NWA and was told that the CZ China-domestic award will require 20K for economy, 40K for business, 60K for first class if you use NW mile.

But I rememer I used DL mile and issued a CZ first class ticket in Sep 09 and only use 30K DL mile. So the problem is DL mile is more valueable than NW mile? Is it the problem they will solve in the long run? I guess the higher requirement will be kept.

The NW agent kept asking me what is the reservation number and hope to dig out the problem. She even told me that she checked with the DL agent and was told the DL requirement is also 60K for first class. I, of course do not want to give them the info. Maybe they think they should charge me 60K DL mile??

It used to to be 30K for business using NW miles too, then they changed it to 40K. Most CZ domestic are 2-class only anyway. Even if there is first class, it is definitely not worth 60K, hehe.

Called DL service center today and wanted to redeem CZ domestic first class. But to my surprise, DL raised the mileage requirement to the same level as NWA. I just can not believe it. I redeemed the same itinerary in the end of last month and it only cost me 30K DL mile. Now it is 60K DL mile. When I challenged the DL agent and she did remember it is 30K before but she does not know why is that. She also mentioned that NWA system can show the first class availablity and it costs 60K. But in DL system, there is 40K CZ first class standard but no availability. She will report this issue to headquarter and get back to me.

I do not know if the merger of DL and NWA casued a lot of problem especially during the process of merging. But it seems that the higher mileage requirement will be finally kept. If so, DL/NWA mile will become depreciated. Obviously, the call I made last time to point out the discrepancy of DL and NWA mileage requirement triggered this significant change!!

BTW, before DL publish the new award table, shouldnot the old one be the standard they should follow?

Well, technically, the "old" DL never published an award chart for any origin outside the US. Therefore, they have no standard to follow, and it is expected that they will continue to keep this a hidden piece of information.

Now, yes, NW had published its chart, but, as someone has pointed out, it is no longer linked to from the NWA.com site.

So, while we may not like it, this opacity is the norm for DL.

Cheers,

I do keep an old pdf version of DL multi-carrier award table. It is dated 2007. while there are no other version I can refer to. Shouldn't DL consider it as the mileage requirement?

DL award charts are at https://www.nwa.com/worldperks/direct/charts/

The DL mileage levels have now went down as much as two fold and now the much lower NW mileage levels are in place (not the horribly uncompetitive DL ones, where DL charged 140,000 round trip for the same flight that NW charged 70,000 for and others only 45,000 for - i.e. DL was double of NW and nearly quadruple of other airlines for the exact same route/flights). So, it is great newa for all DL flyers as now the DL SkyMiles have greatly appreciated due to the lower NW award mileage levels being in effect now.

Just got the CZ domestic first class award ticket for 40K. Same route only costs 60K mile. NWA needs 60K. So DL and NWA are in the process of merging and will look at the award table of each other's and come up with a reasonable and competitive one?
