Does Delta have a "Passplus"/"Aairpass" equivalent?
I contacted them and no one seemed to know. Thought I'd get a clearer answer here. Thanks!

I've never heard of passplus or aairpass.
If you gave a description of what these programs are, then maybe an answer would be more forthcoming. |
I'm not aware of a program similar to AAirpass. Delta has a privatejet fleet that has a program that is attached to the skymiles program, but nothing like AA.
For those unfamiliar with the program: http://aairpass.com/default.asp |
AAirpass is American Airlnes' pre-paid travel service. You purchase and account that is good for a certain number of years, entitling you to a certain number of miles per year, at a specific rate per year. It is rather expensive, unless you are a rather large business.
You then book on AA.com, or just walk up to any airport ticket counter (AA, of course) and it deducts miles from your account for your travel, with extra miles deducted for Business and First. It also entitles AAirpass holders to free Admirals Club membership and priority lanes. And most bookings book into full fares, and you redeem mileage/elite status as usual. EDIT: El Boocho beat me to it. But for those of you who are too lazy (like me) to click on a link, my description above is accurate within a reasonable degree of scientific certainty. |
And here is the United one:

Thought NW had one (ong time ago? discontinued?), never heard of DL having one. Never looked into CO or US. |
No, Delta never had an AAirpass equivalent product. In the early 90's, I checked into this on all of the U.S. carriers, and only UA & AA had this sort of thing.
Never got far enough into it w/Delta to see about negotiating an individual deal. These days, it'd be much harder to make the $numbers$ work for this on any airline(AA section has mucho info on the AAirpass product). |
Thanks!

If I remember when it started you could have bought lifetime pass on AA for 17k. Long long long time ago.
