Elite Status Changed
I just logged into WP this morning to say good-bye (and to see if my KE miles posted), and I noticed
Account Status: 01Mar2009-29Sep2009 Gold Elite 30Sep2009-28Feb2010 Platinum Elite 2009 Elite Qualifying Miles 35,744 2008 Elite Qualifying Miles 0 I tried logging into my only current NW res and it still shows me as Gold. A changeover glitch? |
Nope there is an unpublished promotion that awards a bump in elite status for this year and next. The terms of who and what qualifies remain unpublished.
Congrats on your new status. |

If you are referring to the 5-15K Thank You EQM giveaway promotion, then it would still have to reflect on his EQM balance which reads as 35K.. unless there is a new promotion, it might very well be his integrated account with Delta, who knows. Maybe we should start checking our Delta accounts as well.

Be glad they are doing it now, and benefit from it the rest of the year. Now, to change your res from Gold to Plat, have a res agent remove, end, and add back your number to your res, and it *should* change. It may not in the res itself, but the DL mileage at least will show Plat Bonus, from my similar experience. DL IT staff have been notified this past week that at LEAST the flyer's status level should be checked before / during checkin and upgrade times so that BOARDING PASSES should show the proper new status, as it may affect one's entry into a SkyClub / SkyTeam lounge as an international passenger, etc. -- I think Upgrade times are based on your profile, and if there is a res tied to it, rather than the (old) status reflected in the res, as I got my upgrade notice 5 days out. |
I do not have any EQM with my SkyMiles account.
When I look at the little window on the mainpage it still shows me as a Gold Elite. When logged in to buy a ticket I still show as GE. It only shows me as PE in that one line on my mileage summary. |
Now, after not being able to log in, it shows me a PE everywhere on the site (Including being able to print a Temporary PE card). I really hope this means I will keep PE during 2010. SO much has gone wrong with this merger, this is the only benefit this Asia-based Elite has had since it all started.
|
My 80k NW EQM and 15k DL MQM are still separate.
|
I also has 60k miles in 2008 so I'm not sure why it shows it as naught now.
|
You guys are chasing down the wrong trail... see my post above. ;)

Silly question, how is it that you know about this, and no one else?

My guess is they are in the Marketing Dept at either Delta North or Delta South..
