Leftover CUC -trade/exchange?

I have 110 CUC (Convertible Pesos) left over from my trip. Are they exchangeable in Mexico or elsewhere in Central America?

If not, I am in Nevada. If anyone is going to Cuba, I'd be willing to do a 1 to 1 exchange with USD (vs the 1 to 0.87 you get in Cuba). PM me if interested.

Nope.

Best any regular future traveler can do right now is buy Euros at home and then change to CUC in Cuba. That gets you 92 CUC per dollar.
Some casa owners may exchange (or find a friend to exchange) dollars directly for 90 to 96 CUC.
But it's nice to have some CUC to pay for the airport taxi and avoid the long lines at the cadeca (exchange shop/window) at the airport, so this is a good deal for anyone traveling soon. (If I knew when I was going back, I'd take 'em.)

Yup. I took Euros and Japanese Yen to Cuba. These were just left over and there was no easy way to change them back in Cuba. This is because we flew our own plane and had to pay for landing fees and fuel at the very end (no way to go back to the exchange counter) and I wasn't sure how many CUC I would need.
